Today wrapped up my first week of low carb menu my way challenge! It was very educational and enlightening to say the least. There was a lot of failures, but there were also small victories, believe it or not. I learned quite few lessons along this short journey. And here is a short list of Cons and Pros for the first week:

Pros:

1. I learned how important and productive keeping journal is, it doenst only keep track of all caloric intake, but it lets one be accountable and honest!
2. I found mind like supportive and good people.
3. I know I can only get better
4. I was able to stay away from weighting myself every day and being obsessed with it
5. The take away message is Do not ever feel guilty and worthless for making mistakes. Mistakes are blessings for us to learn from, it is an experience and not a punishment!

Cons:

1. I wasnt able to accomplish what I set out to do.
2. I was weak when I needed to be strong.
3. I ate the wrong food whenI could have eaten better ( emotional eating )

Weight update tomorrow! I have no idea how much I lost or gained. Totally puzzled. I did eat a lot more then I needed for my expedenture, but i did manage to stay relatively low carb.

WEIGHT= 228 POUNDS

Vadim,

Congrats on completing your fist week of low-carb!

I really like and admire the fact that you're taking stock of what this week has taught you. And, as your lists demonstrate, your pros are more plentiful than your cons.

This is just the beginning for us all. I'm happy to be on this journey with you and all these other fine low-carbers.

Just a week ago, I had no idea I'd be doing this. I'm glad that I did.

A new week begins!

Thank you guys, from the bottom of my heart! It was indeed an evenful week.I hope this week was like making a first pancake, it always comes crumbled, but the more I get into it, the better I should do, given I will stay low carb off course.

Vadim,
Week one down, Way to Go!
LCing is easier the longer you do it, in my experience. I have been LCing on and off for about 8 years. Lost 80 pounds and have kept off 60. When I lost my Mom last year, I lost it for a lil while. But I'm back now. I'm a diabetic, so I use LCing to control my blood sugar readings. Once you find a food groove, you can just stay in it.

Congrates!!!!!!

Hmmmm that's very strange! What sort of error message are you getting?

I love making mistakes! It's the only way to learn! I have learned so much from low carb eating. I learned how to control my emotional eating, I learned portion control, I learned what my trigger foods are, I learned that I have lots and lots of low carb blogging buddies who are going through the same stuff I am and can help me along when I need support!
