Thank you all for stopping by and leaving comments. Anonymous, I am glad you have a name now! it wasnt awefully low amount of calories for a man of my size. i ll tell you why. Number one a man of my size has a lot of calories to burn, and its called free fatty acids, so even if I went on semi-starvation diet my body wouldnt lower my metabolic rate tremendously for at least two weeks. I have done BMR study in my university doing intermittent fasting for a peirod of two weeks. i was involved in a special proiject. So I would eat everything I wanted for a day, followed by a day of 18 hours fast. I did exercise too at that time. So my average caloric intake came out to about 1700 calories. My BMR stayed same and at times was even higher on some days. eventually after two weeks it was down a bit. and i lost 12 pounds. unfortunately i havent had will power to do that experiment since until now. So miriam, 1700 calories even for a man of my size is enouph. I did eat often, i didnt go hungry and i let my body dictate when it wanted to eat. And it is a beautiful thing to know when your body is physiologically hungry, instead of feeding your emotions! And food tastes that much better! I hope it answers your question. thanks for your concern though.

Hey, Vadim,

I had to stop drinking the whey protein shakes since it left me far too bloated in the morning and post-workout. I mix rice protein and amino acid powders with cold water and ice to make a slushy. Now that I'm on the sweet free challenge I'll wave them good-bye in my dark cabinet until next month.

Yes, it is all about the eggs!

Have a great day!

You've inspired me to get back on the protein shake bandwagon! I made a double batch tonight to drink tomorrow. I make mine w/ vanilla whey protein, low carb chocolate milk, and instant coffee. I might have to try adding cocoa like you do to make it even more chocolatey!
